DOST-MIMAROPA Empowers SPED Education in Odiongan with Digital Learning Tools

DOST-MIMAROPA through its Provincial S&T Office in Romblon began the year 2025 by strengthening inclusive education through the awarding of computer tablets and WiFi routers to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Odiongan during the LGU’s flag-raising event on January 6, 2025.

The tablets and routers are equipped to access DOST Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS (STARBOOKS) via browser, an innovative digital library available online and offline which provides a wealth of educational materials on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), enabling students to grasp complex concepts with ease.

This initiative aims to enhance access to quality digital science and technology resources, including interactive modules, e-books, and instructional videos, fostering improved teaching and learning experiences for SPED students.
