BPI Foundation, in partnership with DOST, turns over STARBOOKS units to Dumaguete City schools!

Held on July 17, 2025, at Dumaguete City National High School, the ceremony marked the official handover of DOST’s offline digital library, STARBOOKS (Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosk Station – a flagship program of DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute), to five public schools: Dumaguete City NHS, Junob NHS, South City ES, North City ES, and Cadawinonan ES.

The event featured messages of support and collaboration from the Department of Education – Dumaguete City Division, the BPI Foundation, and the DOST-NIR Regional Office, highlighting the importance of accessible digital learning in public schools.

The event concluded with a brief orientation and user training on STARBOOKS conducted by the DOST-STII Team, underscoring the shared commitment of DOST and BPI Foundation in making science-based learning more accessible to Filipino learners.
