On September 5, 2025, PSTO-Ifugao conducted an orientation and training on STARBOOKS for the teachers and students of Lagawe National High School (LNHS), as part of the CEST project entitled, "Strengthening Lagawe Through Sustainable Solutions for Environmental Conservation, Economic Development, and Accessible Quality Education."

During the session, participants were introduced to the features of the Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosk Station (STARBOOKS), a digital library of S&T resources that can be accessed even without an internet connection. Afterwards, they were able to explore the platform themselves and discover the wide collection of learning materials that will surely support teaching and research in the school.

With STARBOOKS, Lagawe NHS is now equipped with a valuable tool to enhance classroom learning, encourage research, and make science and technology knowledge more accessible to both educators and learners.

#STARBOOKS is created by DOST Science and Technology Information Institute as part of their mandate to promote science and technology information.
